Odyssey™ Laser

High-Tech Dentistry - Tom Niemi, DDS in Arvada, CO

The Odyssey™ Diode Laser minimizes bleeding and speeds up healing in dental procedures such as gum disease treatment, dental implants and the removal of growths.

It gently and effectively treats the decay that gum disease can cause and stops the progression of tooth and bone disease, usually without numbing anesthesia. Laser treatment helps to eliminate the need for conventional, often painful, gum surgery in up to 75% of cases.

The laser is also used to gently and artistically refashion the gum line. It can turn short teeth or a gummy smile into the smile you’ve always wanted.

DIAGNOdent Early Detection of Decay

High-Tech Dentistry - Tom Niemi, DDS in Arvada, CO

The DIAGNOdent is a pen-like probe that sends a safe, painless laser beam into the tooth and checks its health. A number scale and an alarm will signal when there are signs of hidden decay. This allows us to determine if decay is lurking beneath the apparently healthy tooth surface.

This technology allows us to catch tooth decay at an earlier stage, before the tooth is destroyed from the inside out. This will help prevent more extensive procedures.
